My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower

A duʿā from Sūrah Ṣād in which Sulaymān عليه السلام asks Allāh for forgiveness and a unique kingdom not granted to anyone after him.

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَهَبْ لِي مُلْكًا لَّا يَنبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ مِّن بَعْدِي ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ

My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

Rabbi ighfir lī wa hab lī mulkan lā yanbaghī li-aḥadin min baʿdī, innaka anta al-Wahhāb.

Context

A supplication made by Sulaymān عليه السلام after recognising a test, asking Allāh for forgiveness and a unique kingdom granted by divine favour.
