My Lord, make this city secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols…

A duʿā from Sūrah Ibrāhīm in which Ibrāhīm عليه السلام asks Allāh for security, protection from shirk, provision, gratitude, and acceptance for himself, his family, and the believers.

My Lord, make this city secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols.
My Lord, indeed they have led many people astray. So whoever follows me is of me, and whoever disobeys me—then indeed, You are Forgiving and Merciful.
Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in a valley without cultivation near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits so that they may be grateful.
Our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we declare, and nothing is hidden from Allāh on the earth or in the heaven.
All praise is for Allāh, who has granted me, despite old age, Ismāʿīl and Isḥāq. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication.
My Lord, make me one who establishes prayer, and from my descendants. Our Lord, accept my supplication.
Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day the account is established.

Rabbi ijʿal hādhā al-balad āminan wa-jnubnī wa banīyya an naʿbuda al-aṣnām.
Rabbi innahunna aḍlalna kathīran mina al-nās, fa-man tabiʿanī fa-innahu minnī, wa man ʿaṣānī fa-innaka ghafūr raḥīm.
